Introduction to Guangzhou Metro Line 6

Changsha Metro is an urban rail transit serving Changsha City, Hunan Province, China, including metro system and maglev system. Its first line was opened on April 29, 2014, and its maglev express line is the first medium and low-speed maglev line with fully independent intellectual property rights opened in China.

As of June 2020, there were 6 rail transit operating lines in Changsha: Changsha Rail Transit Line 1, Changsha Rail Transit Line 2, Changsha rail transit line 3, Changsha rail transit line 4, Changsha rail transit line 5, and Changsha maglev express. The line network covers the whole urban area of Changsha and Changsha County. There are 114 stations, including 12 transfer stations, with an operating mileage of 161.05 kilometers.

As of December 2021, Changsha rail transit has 6 lines under construction: Changsha rail transit line 6, phase I of Changsha Zhuzhou Xiangtan intercity rail transit west ring line, phase I of north extension of Changsha Rail Transit Line 1, phase II of West extension of Changsha Rail Transit Line 2, East extension of Changsha maglev Express Line and phase I of Changsha rail transit line 7.

In the whole year of 2021, Changsha rail transit subway network sent 585 million passengers, with an average daily passenger volume of 1.6 million. As of June 16, 2021, the maximum daily passenger volume of Changsha rail transit is 2.8512 million (excluding maglev express line data) on May 1, 2021.
