Introduction to New Display Industry Innovation Center:
Shenzhen Tianma A stated that the company plans to invest 1.5 billion RMB to establish the Hubei Yangtze New Display Industry Innovation Center Co., Ltd. (provisional name, subject to official approval by the relevant authorities), serving as its platform for innovative development in the new display industry. The investment proposal was approved at the 9th Board of Directors’ second meeting held on July 31, 2019, with all 9 votes in favor and none against or abstaining. According to their annual report, the industrial application of Tianma Microelectronics’ a-Si TFT-LCD technology is already well-developed. The Xiamen Tianma’s 5.5th and 6th generation LTPS TFT-LCD production lines have been running at full capacity since 2018. The Tianma OLED production line of the 5.5th generation continues to upgrade its products, while the Wuhan Tianma 6th generation LTPS AMOLED production line has successfully commenced mass production and delivery to brand customers in early June 2018.
